Ambika Ramdehal
Director of Bands The Storm Grove Middle School Band is under the direction of Ms. Ambika Ramdehal. Ms. Ramdehal previously taught middle school band at Forest Grove Middle School in Fort Pierce, Florida. Ms. Ramdehal is a graduate of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida and was a highly active member of the Panther Band. Ms. Ramdehal attended the University of Central Florida on a music scholarship and earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2021. During her time at UCF, Ms. Ramdehal was the pianist for the UCF Wind Ensemble where she was selected to perform in the FMEA All-State Intercollegiate Band in 2018. Ms. Ramdehal also helped record the first Zodiac Concerto with Flying Horse Records & performed in the CBDNA Southern Division Conference at Northwestern State University in Louisiana in 2020.
During her time in her previous position at Forest Grove Middle School, Ms. Ramdehal re-built the band program after the pandemic to include over 150 students in a wind ensemble, symphonic band, and beginning bands. In 2023, the band program went to the Florida Bandmaster's Association Music Performance Assessment and received Superior ratings from all judges, an achievement that the school had not attained since 2014. They also consistently received superior ratings at Solo & Ensemble and started performing again in the IRSC Four-County Honor Band and the Music In Our Schools Honor Band. Ms. Ramdehal is also an active performer throughout the Treasure Coast area. She is a flautist with the Treasure Coast Flute Choir and is a flautist and associate conductor with the Stuart Concert Community Band. Ms. Ramdehal also plays piano for various community bands, local theaters, middle school and high schools for concerts, musicals, and Solo & Ensemble accompaniment. Ms. Ramdehal is a member of the National Association for Music Educators, Florida Music Educator's Association, and Florida Bandmasters Association. |
